Education and/or Special Training:

Bachelors degree with 6 years experience or Masters Degree with 3 years experience and experience with RHEL 5/4. Solaris 10 and Windows server 03 is a plus.

Job Description:

• Environment setup includes building servers for all instances. Install, configure and maintain and support the RHEL, Solaris and Windows servers. Migration experience a big plus.
• Knowledge and experience with Veritas Volume Manager (Versions 3+) and NetBackup.
• Must have expert skills in ClearCase, ClearQuest.
• Create user authentication and authorizations using LDAP/Active Directory.
• Knowledge in Oracle PL/SQL and ability to write Complex SQL’s and Stored procedures.Unix Shell and Perl Scripting
• Ability to Write Ant scripts for builds and deployments and perform middleware engineering.
• Good interpersonal, communication and documentation skills

Duties:

• Environment setup includes building servers for all instances. Install, configure and maintain and support the RHEL, Solaris and Windows servers.
• Create user authentication and authorizations using LDAP/Active Directory.
• Liaise with DB team and Middleware administration teams to know the build process and with the Business users to understand the business needs.
• Create file systems on all servers and configure its storage and backup process.
• Knowledge with Veritas (VxVM, VCS) and NetBackup required but not mandatory.
• Knowledge with Oracle DB and SQL Server 2005 is a plus.
• Automating jobs and create batch files using shell and perl scripts using Autosys tool.
• Writing Ant build scripts for builds and deployments to Apache and Websphere server.
• Create Solaris zones and containers and be able to Jumpstart/Kickstart the servers.
• Install and perform updates and patches on all servers for different releases.
• Debugging existing applications and resolving performance issues and be able to 24x7 troubleshooting of all servers.
