Education and/or Special Training:

Bachelors degree with 5 years experience or Masters Degree with knowledge in the skills listed below.

Job Description:

• WebSphere Application Server Version 5.1/Version 6.x/Version 7.x, WebSphere MQ, Message Broker, UNIX, WebSphere, and LDAP
• Systems Development, including shell scripting and automation tooling. UNIX and Websphere Systems Administration, including ability to drive issues to resolution with clients/customers.
• Experience and/or knowledge in WebSphere Servers in a Cluster solution for High Availability, Load balancing and fail over support.
• Control tools like Clear case, Apache Subversion and CVS
• Networking, TCP/IP, Ethernet, DNS, DHCP.
• https servers such as Iplanet, Sun one, Apache and HIS
• Monitoring Tools such as Introscope (7.1, 7.25 and 8.x), HP OPENVIEW, BMC Patrol and Beyond Compare.
• Jython, Jacl, shell and ANT scripting to automate and monitor routine tasks.
• Web Security tools- LDAP Server, SSL Certificates.

Duties:

• This position provides expertise in infrastructure and web tier operations and overall middle tier distributed systems.
• Involve in the administration and support of web tier and middleware applications including: WebSphere, IHS and LDAP across a variety of UNIX platforms.
• Analyzes all aspects of the existing infrastructure and recommends modifications that will enhance system reliability, availability, serviceability and scalability. Works with teammates, clients and other teams to identify and address systems problems.
• Evaluate new developments and recommend infrastructure modifications. Provides 24x7 on-call support of middleware applications as part of rotating team coverage.
• Provides in depth consultation to application teams on eBusiness applications. Assists in defining standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics.
• Responsible for systems development, including shell scripting and automation tooling. Requires the use of Tivoli Access Manager and J2EE.
